Jewels Design: *Liron Kliger*

She’s young, she’s talented and she’s one of the new London College of Fashion‘s graduates definitely to watch.  This is Liron Kliger, an Israeli born jewellery designer, who after traveling in Barcelona, Paris, Milan and Tel Aviv is now based in London.

Her latest project developed from a fascination with snakeskin and infatuation with catwalk pieces motivating her to create her own interpretation via snakeskin inspired bangles designed for the catwalk.

Quirky,  colorful, and extremely eye-catching, Liron Kliger‘s bangles perfectly match the goal of her research, aiming to create unique pieces encompassing the form and essence of the material used, and look ideally suited for a fashionable summery outfit.

Jewels Design: *Charlotte Valkeniers*

Charlotte Valkeniers is a Belgian designer – recently graduate with an MA from the London College of Fashion – who, despite her young age, can already count on a well defined style and a strong passion for research.

Her De Fabrica Collection – partly presented in the slideshow below – is mainly centered on materials and shapes investigation. Knitted leather’s potential and the muscles of human body inspired her to develop such a line of sculptural jewelry, easily coiling neck and wrists and fitting like a loosely tailored dress.

Jewels Design: *Luis Acosta*

Argentinian-born designer Luis Acosta  – now based in the Netherlands where he graduated at Gerrit Rietveld Academy of Amsterdam – explores forms and colors in his untiring research beyond paper and textiles, creating artistic jewellery drawing out layers of  different materials .

As a designer I am particulary interested in form – he says, though he also thinks that It’s important to work with both shapes and colour. The first gives dimension to the design while the second provides warmth.

Based on the amazing impact of his creations, no doubt he’s totally right…

Look at the sculptural bracelets and necklaces in the slideshow below – just a selection of his full collection – and get a quick overview of his “intriguing hybridizations” :
